After a year of working with the Department of Education, GMAI has been approved to provide federal financial aid to new and incoming students. This will allow people to apply for grants, subsidized loans in addition to our in-house financing and Sallie Mae programs.

Our Fall Career Fair was this week and it was the best one ever! With over 40 salons attending, it was a packed house. Our Career Fairs are held twice a year and allow salons and spas from the area to network, meet our Future Professionals and see their work.
The Fashion Show was amazing! Over 25 teams of Future Professionals created looks for two models using the theme “Head and Shoulders Above the Rest.” Great job everyone – can’t wait to see what you create in the Spring.

Robbie and Zehnder have finished Phase 2 of their advanced training and are now working in Phase 3 – our finishing salon (located two doors down from Gary Manuel). Here they work on their guest skills before moving to the main salon.
Robbie is a graduate of Gary Manuel Aveda Institute and Zehnder comes to us from an Aveda Institute in Ohio where she was a winner in the North American Hairstyling Awards student competition.

Congratulations to Chris and Nyesha who just graduated from the Gary Manuel training program! Now are both providing fantastic services to their guests at the main Gary Manuel salon.
Nyesha loves doing ethnic hair (and is great at it…just read Citysearch) and Chris is great at curly hair (he also gives a mean hand massage).
Good work and looking forward to see what is next!!
The Future Professionals did a great job for this spring’s Career Fair. Each team of cosmetology and esthetic FP’s did the hair and makeup for their models.
Area salons and spas come to the event to see the FP’s work in the fashion show and to recruit potential employees.
